#flipcode began on Efnet soon after the launch of www.flipcode.com in 1998. Due to frequent netsplits it was later moved to the EnterTheGame network where it has stayed ever since. While it serves as a real-time discussion forum for programming and game development topics, it also provides a social setting for the flipCode community in which to interact. Come and hang out and talk shop in #flipcode on irc.enterthegame.com, but please be aware that for the most part the channel is unmoderated so if you are a minor as defined by laws in your district you may need to be supervised by your parent or guardian. We try not to harbour any scary and weird folks but in the end we're all scary and weird, so watch out for strangers bearing candy.
